פֶּסַחm. (b. h.; preced. wds.) Passover festival; (sub. זבח) Passover sacrifice, Passover meal. Pes.V, 1 (58a) חל ערב פ׳וכ׳ (Mish. ed. ערבי פסחים; Y. ed. ערב פסחים) if the eve of Passover occurred on a Friday. Ib. 2 הפ׳ ששחטווכ׳ if they slaughtered a Passover lamb not as such. Ib. II, Par. 3 ת׳ לבן נכנס בשחורוכ׳ tballul means the white of the eye invading the black, or the reverse; (oth. opin.) לבן פוסקוכ׳, v. סִירָה II; Bekh.VI, 2. ib. 38b מהו לשון ת׳ דבר המבלבלוכ׳ what is the meaning of tballul? Anything that disturbs the arrangement of the eye, v. בִּלְבֵּל.Pl. תְּבַלּוּלִים, תְּבלּוּלִין. Y.Pes.IX, 36d bot. דוקים ות׳ פוסלין בו cataracts and blendings make it unfit for the Passover sacrifice; Tosef. ib.
